Falling film circulation evaporator
Falling Film Evaporator (FFE)
A Falling Film Evaporator (FFE) is an energy-efficient evaporator used in wastewater treatment for concentrating dilute streams. It operates by allowing feed liquid to flow as a thin film along vertical heated tubes. The high heat transfer rate and low residence time make it ideal for heat-sensitive and foaming liquids. FFEs are widely used in Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems for efficient evaporation before further drying or crystallization stages.
