Membrane bio reactor
Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) Technology
Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) Technology is an advanced wastewater treatment process that combines biological treatment with membrane filtration. MBR systems efficiently remove organic and inorganic contaminants, suspended solids, and pathogens, producing high-quality treated water suitable for reuse and discharge. MBRs are widely used in municipal, industrial, and commercial wastewater treatment applications.
MBR Process Flow:
*Process flow showing biological reactor, membrane modules, permeate, and sludge.
Key Features:
- Combines activated sludge process with membrane filtration (UF/MF)
- Produces high-quality effluent with low BOD, COD, and TSS
- Compact footprint and modular design
- Automated operation with minimal operator intervention
- Reduces sludge production and eliminates secondary clarifiers
Applications:
- Municipal sewage treatment and water reuse
- Industrial wastewater treatment (textile, pharma, food & beverage)
- Commercial complexes, hotels, and hospitals
- Decentralized and containerized treatment plants
Industry Standards & Compliance:
- Designed as per ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
- Membranes comply with NSF/ANSI 61 for potable water
- Meets CPCB & SPCB discharge norms for treated effluent
- System design follows international best practices (EN, EPA)
How We Deliver:
- Detailed wastewater analysis and project assessment
- Selection of MBR configuration and membrane type
- Custom 3D design, fabrication, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)

MDR
MBR is a state-of-the-art filtration process that uses porous ceramic material for separating particles, bacteria, and macromolecules from water and wastewater. With superior chemical resistance, long lifespan, and the ability to withstand high temperatures, ceramic membranes are widely used in industrial effluent treatment, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) systems.
Membrane bio reactor Filtration Process:
*Process flow showing feedwater, membrane modules, permeate, and retentate.
Key Features:
- Constructed from alumina, zirconia, or titania materials
- Operating temperature: up to 150°C | pH range: 1–14
- High mechanical strength and resistance to fouling
- Long operational life with backwash and CIP capability
- Used in ultrafiltration (UF) and microfiltration (MF)
Applications:
- Textile and dye effluent reuse
- Food and beverage clarification
- Oil & grease separation
- Heavy metal removal and ZLD pre-treatment
